In January of 2002, R.G (Gary) and Dianne Franklin purchased a small log sawmill in Burney, California, and renamed it Shasta Green, Inc. Long involved in a series of successful logging and trucking companies, the Franklins brought their vision of innovation, efficiency, financial strength, and manufacturing quality to the new sawmill.
For the past decade Franklin Logging has been one of the largest purchasers of Forest Service timber sales in California, and supplies Shasta Green, Inc. with logs from both public and private forests.
Tragically, in June of 2003 Gary Franklin passed away. Since then Dianne has continued his dream of integrating these companies together and his commitment to provide our customers with the best quality forest products available.
Our primary product line includes Ponderosa Pine, White Fir, Douglas Fir 2X4 through 2x12 dimension lumber. Secondary products include Ponderosa Pine 6/4 Commons and Industrials, and air dried Incense Cedar 2x4 through 2x12 Rough. Specialty Cedar lumber is also available.
